Hinton Machine
HISTORY…
2013: Machine shop, then called Billet Built Motorsports is founded initially to manufacture parts for automotive, motorcycle, and Soap Box Derby racing industries.
2017: Billet Built Motorsports is renamed to Hinton Machine as the company expands into new markets serving local quick-turnaround and prototyping industry.
2018: Hinton Machine purchases a 3 acre property in Sterling, Ohio approximately 30 minutes southwest of Akron, and 1 hour south of Cleveland. The first building (960 sq. ft.) was erected later that year.
2019: Hinton Machine invests in CNC machinery and 3-phase electric to enable growth to adhere to customer’s demands. Owner Todd Hinton leaves his full-time job at a local Aerospace Manufacturer to pursue the business full-time.
2020: Hinton Machine builds a new addition to the original shop, bringing total square footage of manufacturing space to 3,200 ft.
2021: Hinton Machine purchases 1 acre lot adjacent to original property, with busy state highway road frontage to plan for future expansion and advertising opportunities.
2024: Hinton Machine invests significantly into future of manufacturing operations with purchase of new machinery, heavy duty truck/trailer, and excavating of grounds for future expansion project.
